Join the Clearwater Community Sailing Center as they host their first annual summer luau and fundraiser. There will be a silent auction from 12-4, vendors, food, music, free sailboat and outrigger canoe rides, and fun for all ages. Proceeds from the event will support the sailing center and their various community programs which benefit sailors and landlubbers of all ages.

We are so proud of our Kai Aniani family and wanted to congratulate them on taking 1st and 2nd place last weekend at the Ft. Myers, Ultimate Water Games (UWG).  It was a great turn out with 8 teams traveling from California and all over the state of Florida.

A16 mile OC-6 race coarse was set up with a four leg, 4 mile format featuring a beach start for each competition leg.  One paddler stood in the water with the canoe while the other five paddlers ran from the beach and jumped into the canoe.

Details - April, 28th, 20.5-mile OC-6 race on Gulf of Mexico waters.  Event is a four-leg, 5.1-mile format featuring Lemans beach starts for each competition leg.  This event will be held in two classes (open and 400-pound weight), requiring 6 to 9-member teams.  (A minimum of two women paddlers are required as crew on each competition leg).  This marathon challenge features a $5,000 event purse with a split class pay-out. The top three places in each class will be paid.

Downwind race this coming Saturday. Stay tuned for details. We will be meeting up at the Clearwater Community Sailing Center. Hope to see you all there.This is a low key series for OC's, Surfskis, SUP, Prone, and Kayaks. Races will be downwind whenever possible. Racers must be self sufficient, and capable in rough offshore conditions. Safety tests may be required for new paddlers to the series. The cost is $5 (except for WC Champs and Shark Bite). Fees will go to help cover gas, etc for the shuttles. Exact course details will be posted on this event page 24-hours in advance. All races will meet at the Sailing Center unless listed otherwise.
